NATIONAL TOP TEN RANKINGS SCM 2016

The 2016 National Top 10 rankings have been published, and Team 1693 made quite a splash despite having small groups at just a few SCM meets.

In the Women’s 120-159 age group, the team of Katie Grier, Sara Shaner, Shannon Greene and Michele Choe earned the #3 ranking in the 200 Medley Relay (2:16.11) and the NATIONAL NUMBER ONE ranking in the 200 Free Relay (1:58.34).

In the Mixed 120-159 age group, the team of Scott Hensley, Rich Williams, Shannon Greene and Shannon Sullivan ranked #5 in the 200 Medley Relay (2:13.22).  In that same age group, the team of Katie Grier, Michael Lovett, Scott Hensley, and Sara Shaner ranked #2 in the 200 Free Relay (1:47.63).

Five Club Tribe swimmers ranked Top 10 nationally in individual events:  Kevin Gallagher (25-29) — 50 FR (#4, 23.57) and 100 IM (#2, 1:00.12); Scott Hensley (30-34) — 100 BK (#1!, 1:01.39); Katie Grier (35-39) — 50 FR (#4, 28.21), 50 BK (#7, 33.26) and 50 Fly (#7, 31.01);  Shannon Greene (30-34) — 800 FR (#6, 10:05.57), 1500 FR (#6, 19:03.89) and 200 Fly (#1!, 2:38.71); Gabby Mizerak (25-29) — 50 FR (#7, 27.93) and 50 Fly (#1!, 29.18).

Great job, everybody — impressive stuff!  Maybe we should target SCM Colonies Zones in Boston in December, see what a full Club Tribe contingent can do in SCM, and have a team holiday party in Beantown?
