2023 Colonies Zone Championships

A small but mighty team of 16 Club Tribe swimmers traveled to Rutgers University April 14-16 to compete at the 2023 Colonies Zone Championship, and we pulled together to earn an impressive third-place team finish. We were essentially the only non-local team in the Top 8. It was a really fun weekend as we reconnected with longstanding teammates, welcomed some delightful new ones, and benefited from Michele’s stellar organization and social planning.
You can find full meet results here -- there were many personal triumphs (my own favorite was Penny Torian absolutely crushing her first-ever 500 Free!), a bunch of outstanding relays, and a VA LMSC record by Sam Kettlewell-Sites in the M 25+ 100 BK (51.02). Great job everybody!
