Club Tribe Swimmers Successful in June Competitions

Club Tribe had a very active June on the competition front – here are the highlights:

Four Club Tribe swimmers competed in the 1-mile event at the Jim McDonnell Lake Swims on June 2, with Christopher Johnson, Peter Brukx and Blake Sorrell finishing 1-2-3 in the M 18-24 age group and Ian Thompson winning the M 25-29 age group.

Six Club Tribe swimmers attended The Big Kahuna Classic (TIDE’s LCM meet in Virginia Beach) on June 18, including Club Tribe debuts from Geoff Ramsdell and Landon Stulen.

Sixteen Club Tribe swimmers raced at the St. James in Annandale on June 26 at the The Summer Shorts Meet (Potomac Valley LMSC’s LCM sprint meet), including Club Tribe debuts from Jack Tolar, Estebe Salgado, and Ryan Bracewell. Club Tribe finished first among 17 clubs with nearly twice as many points as the second place team. Three Club Tribe swimmers established new VA LMSC records: Margaret Conze (W 50-54 50 FR (29.16), 100 FR (1:05.62) and 50 Fly (31.12)); Susan Williams (W 55-59 50 Fly (32.76) and 50 BK (35.33)); and Evan Elsaesser (M 35-39 50 Fly (27.21)).

Finally, Adam Walker flew the Club Tribe flag solo at Summer Splash Baltimore (UMBC’s LCM meet) on June 26, racking up age group wins in the 50 BR, 200 BR and 200 IM.
